Congress Maharashtra election in-charge Ramesh Chennithala has expressed skepticism over the Maharashtra Assembly election results, describing them as unexpected and not in line with what the public was believed to be feeling. He raised concerns about the decisive victory of the Mahayuti alliance, which contradicted earlier predictions that suggested a tight race between Mahayuti and Maha Vikas Aghadi.
During a Congress press conference, Chennithala emphasized the disconnect between the election results and the issues faced by Maharashtra, such as unemployment, inflation, and corruption, indicating that these problems were not adequately addressed by the incumbent government. He questioned the validity of the election results and reiterated the belief that the public had actually supported the Maha Vikas Aghadi.
Chennithala also highlighted the loss of prominent leaders from the MVA alliance in the elections, including Prithviraj Chavan, Dhiraj Deshmukh, Yugendra Pawar, Fahad Ahmad, and Krishnarao Parshram Patil, which further fueled doubts about the outcome. Additionally, Congress leaders Pawan Khera and Jairam Ramesh also raised questions over the Maharashtra election results, suggesting a potential conspiracy to undermine the Congress party.
