A fire erupted in a foam and furniture factory situated in the Ghazipur area of Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, on Friday, November 29th. Visuals from the scene displayed thick black smoke billowing from the site of the blaze.
The fire broke out at approximately 6:30 pm in the factory, which is located within the jurisdiction of the Ghazipur Police Station. Upon receiving information about the incident, fire officials promptly dispatched several fire tenders to the location. The fire was nearly extinguished, but firefighters continued to work to completely douse the remaining flames.
Chief Fire Officer of Lucknow, Mangesh Kumar, stated that the fire may have been caused by a short circuit. Fortunately, no casualties were reported.
The factory, which manufactures foam used in the production of sofas, beds, and wooden furniture, is situated near residential apartments. As a precautionary measure, residents of these apartments were evacuated.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, and further details are awaited.
