Himachal Pradesh CM Inaugurates Dhalli Bus Stand and Modernization of Dhalli Sabzi Mandi

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu recently unveiled the newly constructed Dhalli bus stand in Shimla and started the project to modernize Dhalli Sabzi Mandi, with an estimated cost of Rs 36 crore. Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri, holding the transport portfolio, joined the event alongside the Chief Minister.

During the event, CM Sukhu accused the previous BJP administration of only superficially initiating projects like the Dhalli and Theog bus stands without setting aside any funding, solely for electoral motives and not genuine development purposes. He highlighted his government's dedication to completing these projects, with resources secured for the bus stand as well as the ongoing construction of a modern HRTC workshop costing Rs 24 crore in the area.

Additionally, CM Sukhu expressed discontent with the BJP government, claiming they misled the public with empty promises while their governance failed on various fronts, resorting to distributing freebies worth Rs 5,000 crore towards the end of their term. He contrasted this with his government's approach, ensuring proper financial allocations and timely completion of development projects, accusing the previous government of manipulating public sentiment for political gains.

The Chief Minister also laid the foundation stone for the enhancement of the Dhalli Vegetable Mandi, set to begin work within a month and complete in approximately one and a half years. Promising new parking facilities in Dhalli, Sukhu underscored the state government's commitment to improving road infrastructure, focusing on projects like the Parwanoo-Shimla four-lane highway and plans for Asia's tallest bridge. Moreover, he inaugurated a community center and parking site in Cemetery, Sanjauli, costing Rs 1.65 crore, emphasizing efforts to aid in times of calamity and support farmers through schemes like the Market Intervention Scheme.
