Imran Khan in Good Health, Says PTI Leader
PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Khan has dismissed rumors surrounding the health of PTI founder and former Prime Minister Imran Khan. Khan is currently being held in Adiala Jail, but Khan assures the public that the former Prime Minister is in good health.
During a meeting with Khan in jail, Khan discussed the recent grand operation against PTI workers at D-Chowk. He thanked the citizens who participated in the protest and instructed PTI lawmakers to raise the issue in both houses of Parliament.
Sources within Adiala Jail confirm that Khan is in good health. He receives regular medical check-ups, and his blood pressure and sugar levels are normal. Khan also maintains his physical fitness with regular exercise twice a day.
This clarification comes after reports suggesting Khan's health was deteriorating, causing concern among his supporters. Some speculated he might be transferred, but the PTI leadership addressed these claims.
The PTI political committee also issued a statement on Sunday, urging full access to Imran Khan due to public anxiety over his health and safety. They expressed concern about the lack of access to his family, legal team, and party officials, calling for frequent and transparent updates on his condition.
Meanwhile, an anti-terrorism court placed Imran Khan on a 14-day judicial remand in a case related to the New Town police station. He has also been arrested in connection with seven other cases related to vandalism.
The PTI political committee has requested immediate restoration of access to Khan's family and legal team, fearing the lack of transparency regarding his treatment.
