Harsh Bardhan, a young and promising 26-year-old IPS officer, met with a tragic end on his way to his first posting in Hassan district, Karnataka. Coming from Madhya Pradesh, Bardhan had recently completed his training at the Karnataka Police Academy in Mysuru, gearing up to serve as the probationary Assistant Superintendent of Police in Holenarasipur.
The unfortunate incident unfolded near the Kittane border on the Hassan-Mysuru Highway, as the police vehicle Bardhan was traveling in veered out of control following a sudden tyre burst. The vehicle collided with a house and a tree, resulting in Bardhan sustaining severe head injuries that led to his untimely demise. Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle escaped with minor injuries from the crash.
