Despite these concerns, China's AI models are gaining increasing attention due to their growing capabilities. They have excelled in bilingual benchmarks, expanding their global appeal. Additionally, China's ability to rapidly iterate on open-source Western frameworks has contributed to their progress.
Alibaba Cloud's new AI models, QwQ, have reportedly outperformed OpenAI's o1 in some benchmark tests, particularly in math and problem-solving.
