AI Takes Center Stage at CEATEC 2023

The Combined Exhibition of Advanced Technologies (CEATEC) 2023 showcased a plethora of AI-powered innovations, with nearly half of the participating companies and organizations presenting AI-related technologies.

Fujitsu's booth highlighted their AI "friend" system, which analyzes basketball players' movements in real-time and provides feedback to improve their shooting form. This technology has also been used to assist in scoring at international gymnastics competitions.

Panasonic showcased a smart refrigerator equipped with a camera that manages the inventory of the produce compartment. The AI system recognizes 45 types of vegetables and suggests recipes based on their freshness.

Solos Technology presented its multifunctional Smartglasses, which allow users to interact with ChatGPT without needing a smartphone. Users can activate the device and talk by simply touching the frame.

JVCKenwood's earbuds with a built-in camera can recommend menu items based on a supermarket flier. When a participant asked for a recommendation while looking at a special sale flier, the device responded with a suggestion in less than three seconds.

These are just a few examples of the many innovative AI applications showcased at CEATEC 2023. The event highlighted the growing role of AI in various industries and its potential to enhance human capabilities and create new experiences.
