BJP Criticizes Delhi Government Over Non-Implementation of Ayushman Bharat Scheme

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has ramped up its attack on the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in Delhi over the non-implementation of the Ayushman Bharat Scheme, which is touted as one of the largest health benefit schemes globally. The BJP has accused the Delhi government of depriving residents of the city of the substantial benefits of the scheme initiated by Prime Minister Modi, which offers Rs 5 lakh health coverage for every beneficiary.

BJP's Lok Sabha MP Bansuri Swaraj criticized the AAP government for its failure to implement the Ayushman Bharat Scheme in Delhi, highlighting the significant advantages it provides nationwide. Swaraj emphasized that despite the wide-ranging benefits of the scheme, the AAP government in Delhi has obstructed its implementation, thus preventing Delhi residents from accessing this significant healthcare initiative.

The BJP's efforts to pressure the Delhi government into adopting the Ayushman Bharat Scheme have included launching a signature campaign where citizens are encouraged to show their support for the scheme. The party's leaders, including Delhi President Virendra Sachdeva and MPs Ravi Kishan and Manoj Tiwari, have been vocal in their criticism of the AAP government's reluctance to implement the scheme, citing the denial of crucial healthcare benefits to the underprivileged population of Delhi. The BJP's campaign seeks to garner public support and raise awareness about the need for implementing the Ayushman Bharat Yojana in Delhi.
