Rahul Gandhi Begins Campaigning for Delhi Assembly Elections

Congress MP Rahul Gandhi has initiated his campaign for the forthcoming Delhi Assembly elections by engaging with residents and partaking in traditional festivities in Rithala, New Delhi. He recently took to social media to criticize Delhi Chief Arvind Kejriwal, showcasing alleged deficiencies in the city's infrastructure and public services, mockingly referring to Delhi as Kejriwal's 'shining Delhi'.

In a scathing attack against the BJP and RSS, Rahul Gandhi accused them of undermining the country's constitution and claimed that the Congress party traveled 4000 km to uphold it. He assured the public that a caste census would be conducted if Congress secured power, emphasizing the importance of unity and standing against discrimination based on religion or caste. Alongside targeting the BJP, Gandhi also questioned the efforts of Prime Minister Modi and Chief Minister Kejriwal in addressing issues like inflation and poverty alleviation.

The upcoming Delhi assembly elections are set to take place on February 5 in a single phase, with counting scheduled for February 8 and the deadline for nominations on January 17. The political landscape in Delhi has been dynamic, with the Congress party, which once held power in the state for 15 years, facing challenges in recent elections while the AAP and BJP have been significant players. The AAP's dominance in the 2020 elections and its focus on education and healthcare have positioned the party as a key contender for the upcoming polls.
