Gautam Adani, the chairman of the Adani Group, held a meeting with Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on January 12, where he outlined a substantial investment of Rs 65,000 crore for various projects in the state. This significant investment includes Rs 60,000 crore intended for the expansion of power plants situated in Raipur, Korba, and Raigarh, with a projected increase in Chhattisgarh’s total power generation capacity by 6,120 MW.

During the meeting at the Chief Minister's official residence in Raipur, Adani also proposed to allocate Rs 5,000 crore towards the development and expansion of cement plants within the state. Furthermore, responding to the Chief Minister's recommendations, Adani extended a pledge of Rs 10,000 crore over the coming four years to contribute to education, healthcare, skill development, and tourism initiatives both through the Adani Group's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) endeavors and beyond.

Apart from the outlined investments, discussions between Adani and Chief Minister Sai delved into potential collaborative opportunities in diverse sectors, including the manufacturing of defense-related equipment, the establishment of data centers, and the creation of a Global Capability Centre in Chhattisgarh to bolster the state's industrial and economic landscape.
