Three young entrepreneurs from Hyderabad, Kaustubh, Anand, and Sreekanth, shared the inspiration behind their technical gear brand, Jarsh, which creates protective gear for workers in high-risk industries like electricity maintenance, building cleaning, and mining. During their pitch on Shark Tank India season 4, they emphasized the alarming statistic of around 25 lakh deaths occurring in such hazardous occupations, reinforcing the importance of their products in saving lives.
Kaustubh, one of the founders, discussed their innovative approach to heat stress solutions through a solid-state cooling module integrated into their airconditioned helmets, rigs, and gadgets. They highlighted the unique positioning of their products, focusing on functionality over comfort, and emphasized that their brand was the first to offer such technology in protective helmets. The founders also revealed their collaboration with police departments, showcasing the credibility of their products in real-world applications.
Despite acknowledging the high pricing of their products, with airconditioned helmets costing ₹17,000 compared to regular helmets priced at ₹200, the founders sought an investment of ₹50 lakh for a 1% stake in their company, valuing their brand at ₹50 crore. BoAt CMO Aman Gupta extended an offer of ₹50 lakh for a 1.5% stake, which the founders accepted, impressing both the investors and viewers on social media. The supportive comments from users reflected admiration for the founders, their innovation, and the strategic decision to partner with Aman Gupta for his expertise in wearable technology.
