In his role as the President and CEO of Samsung Southwest Asia, JB Park recently shared insights on Samsung's accomplishments in India and their vision for the future of technology. Park highlighted the success of the Galaxy S24 series in India, attributing it to the country's young and tech-savvy consumer base who eagerly embrace new innovations, especially AI features like Circle to Search and Call Assist.
Park emphasized the significance of India's unique demographic, which consists of millions of young consumers who are quick to adopt new technology. He praised the contribution of Indian engineers in the development of the Galaxy S25 series, which he described as a "true AI companion," showcasing Samsung's ambitious move towards integrating artificial intelligence into daily experiences. The series is set to be produced at Samsung's Noida plant, underscoring the company's commitment to India as a hub for innovation.
Samsung's strategy includes making premium experiences accessible to all consumer segments by expanding into smaller towns with immersive experience stores and launching platforms like Samsung Finance Plus to provide financing options. Park explained that while technology is increasingly available online, Samsung aims to bridge the accessibility gap by establishing experience stores in rural markets, offering hands-on interaction and personalized support, missing from the virtual retail experience.
