A Focus on Connectivity and Innovation
Bulgaria is actively pursuing key projects that aim to solidify its position as a crucial player in the energy landscape. This was emphasized by Energy Minister Zhecho Stankov at the Sixth Delphi Forum in Washington.
The country's strategy prioritizes strengthening national and regional energy security through enhanced connectivity and the adoption of innovative technologies within the sector. Stankov actively engaged with representatives of major American companies, including Microsoft, Blackstone, Honeywell, General Electric, and Caterpillar, inviting them to invest in Bulgaria's energy future.
During discussions, Stankov highlighted the area surrounding the Kozloduy nuclear power plant as an ideal location for the development of artificial intelligence and data centers due to its robust security infrastructure.
This visit to the United States underscores Bulgaria's commitment to forging partnerships with leading American businesses to advance its energy goals and secure its position as a vital energy hub.
