
In the Upper Thracian Lowlands on Saturday, the sky will be predominantly overcast with brief periods of sunshine. Winds from the east-northeast will be light to moderate, especially in eastern Bulgaria, where temperatures will fluctuate between -1°C and 4°C, with Sofia starting near -1°C and reaching a peak around 6°C compared to warmer southern areas.
In the mountainous regions, the general cloud cover will persist with minimal precipitation. Afternoon conditions may improve in the Rilo-Rhodope Mountains, where intermittent breaks in the cloud cover could occur alongside moderate westerly winds. Temperatures up at 1,200 metres are expected to reach about 3°C, while at higher altitudes around 2,000 metres, they might drop to near -2°C.
Along Bulgaria’s Black Sea coastline, residents and visitors can expect mostly cloudy skies paired with moderate east-northeasterly winds. The maximum temperatures here are likely to range between 5°C and 10°C, with the sea remaining cool at water temperatures of 5°C to 7°C and a gentle swell of approximately 1 to 2 meters.
