AAG launches MetaOne dApp Store to protect against scams

The growing popularity ofBlockchain has led developers and builders to build dApps, as well as through networks like Ethereum and BNB Chain. Unlike the regular apps in the Apple App Store, dApps are built on a decentralized network and can be operated autonomously.

Since they were first introduced in May 2017, DApps have evolved. It was a long time ago when building a new dApp was so complex and time-consuming. The number of dApps has grown exponentially thanks to the new blockchain ecosystems and tools.

dApps are not without their own risks and challenges. Users are now susceptible to phishing and malicious dApps because of thousands of dApps out there. Finding safe dApps is like looking for a needle in a haystack. Web 3 infrastructure startup AAG has a mission to simplify the experience by offering a curated list of approved safe dApps.

The launch of a curated list of projects across the ecosystem is intended to guarantee safety from scams and provide an easy way for newcomers to the industry to discover the best of what Web 3 has to offer.

At launch, the MetaOne dApp StoredApp Store will include a list of 1100 dApps in most categories with 50 added daily filtering them out for quality and safety. The list tries to exclude dApps from the high risk of rug pulls, scams, or potential Ponzi schemes. Users are guaranteed to land on the right website to avoid phishing scams.

A useful feature in the MetaOne dApp StoredApp Store will be informative descriptions and categorizations, e.g. Type of dApp, supported platform, etc. This saves time by combing through docs and blog posts to understand what dApp does. The content will be available in written and video form, while also offering the latest news and events about the individual dApps.

The list includes a wide variety of dApps that go beyond gaming and decentralized exchanges. This allows users to take advantage of Web 3, including things they might not have known about.

The MetaOne dApp StoredApp Store will be integrated with the MetaOne wallet, allowing users to connect their wallet directly to dApps. This is a much needed UX improvement for Web 3 apps.

Jack Vinijtrongjit, Co-Founder of AAG, said that the MetaOne dApp StoredApp Store will give users a gateway into Web 3 that makes their wallet more than a simple app for managing their assets. Users, both new to the OGs and the blockchain, will be able to navigate the rough seas of Web 3, where a scam is always just around the corner. AAG, formerly AAG Ventures, is a web 3 infrastructure company that focuses on providing software that helps simplify interactions with applications and the Metaverse for mainstream users and traditional companies.
