President Joe Biden said on Tuesday that he is directing his team to double the order of Pfizer treatment courses to be delivered in the months ahead, due to the White House COVID 19 response team, and will decrease hospitalizations and deaths from COVID 19.
He stated that this move will allow for a significant reduction of hospitalizations and deaths due to COVID 19 in the future.
Biden also warned that the coming weeks will be challenging, but the US has tools to combat the epidemic.
Pfizer announced earlier on Tuesday that the US government has committed to purchasing additional 10 million treatment courses of its COVID 19 oral therapy, PAXLOVID, as per Sputnik.
The President said he believed that school should remain open.
