The problem with the second gas interconnector between Greece and Bulgaria is the unfinished construction work. In an interview with bTV, we expect a day-to-day timetable of performance of works from the builder, caretaker Minister of Regional Development and Public Works Ivan Shishkov.
The Interconnector with Greece may not be operational until November 1st, according to Bulgargaz CEO Lyudmil Yotsov at a meeting with the Energy and Water Regulatory Commission. Yotsov rejected the criticism of the head of energy watchdog Ivan Ivanov that the price projections must be announced on time. The definitive price rise request will only become clear on the 12th of the month because of the delay for August. The Bulgargaz representatives cited the fact that after Gazprom stopped gas to Bulgaria, the full amount of gas deliveries is only negotiated in the last 20 days of the current month.
