Bulgaria is the only country in Europe that offers convalescence of post-Covid effects in specialized sanatoriums, but the National Health Insurance Fund NHF does not finance it. The Secretary General of the European Spa Association Chilla Mezossi said at a conference in Albena on the Black Sea.
She said that NHF should start covering post-covid treatment because it saves money from the patient treatment budget because of the product, services, competence and potential for the use of natural resources in Bulgaria.
There are excellent climate therapy conditions and spa procedures in Bulgaria, both in the mountains and the sea, which offer the possibility of treatment of neurological and cardiovascular diseases.
