Ahead of the official launch of the Greece-Bulgaria gas interconnector, Bulgaria s President Rumen Radev held a meeting with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, according to the presidential press service.
President Radev met Ursula von der Leyen with the proposal for the gas transmission operators of Bulgaria, Romania, Slovakia and Hungary to increase the transmission of natural gas from Azerbaijan to Europe using national gas transmission systems. With only minor modifications of the networks, the delivery of gas to the EU countries can be speeded up along already existing reliable and secure infrastructure.
