Bulgaria's President to participate in European Political Community meeting

Rumen Radev, Bulgaria's president, will participate in the first meeting of the European Political Community in Prague. 44 European leaders are expected to take part in the event. Invitations have been sent to leaders of 27 EU countries and 17 other countries because of Russia's war against Ukraine at the request of France. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will give a speech via a video link. After the meeting on Friday, President Radev will participate in a informal meeting of heads of state or government in Czech capital Prague during which European leaders will discuss the new sanctions against Russia and how to continue the European Union's support for Ukraine.

The Ukraine in NATO declaration format should be first within the framework of the entire European Union and then NATO, according to Bulgaria's vice president Iliana Iotova in the town of Svilengrad. This is a declaration for the accelerated accession of Ukraine to NATO and no one, including the Bulgarian President, is questioning the subject of Ukraine's membership in NATO.
