New Delhi India January 6, ANI Union Minister of Minority Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said security lapses that took place during Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Ferozepur in Punjab were not negligence but a criminal conspiracy by the Congress party.
The Congress party leadership has not publicly shown any embarrassment or shamefulness regarding the incident, as it is a crime against world's most popular leader and Congress is showing arrogant sophistication on it. Naqvi told ANI that doing such a lousy thing in enmity is far beyond anyone's thinking.
This kind of activity is expected from a party that is already dealing with the accusations of pauperization. PM Modi has put up a strong fight against terrorists, the fight for the peace of the whole world, according to Naqvi. Everyone knows that the prime minister, Narendra Modi ji, has taken action against terrorists from the beginning. In our own country, the way he was treated for a criminal conspiracy has been confirmed by the way in which he was treated. He stated that it is a matter of concern, it is a matter of great concern in itself, and it is also a matter of dangerous mentality.
The Punjab government has constituted a high-level committee to investigate the security lapses that occurred during Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Ferozepur. The committee will submit its report in three days.
PM Modi was due to visit Ferozepur on Wednesday to lay the foundation stone of multiple development projects worth more than 42,750 crore.
On Wednesday, the Home Ministry said that PM Modi landed in Bathinda on Wednesday morning and was to go to the National Martyrs Memorial in Hussainiwala by helicopter.
The Prime Minister waited for about 20 minutes for the weather to clear out due to rain and poor visibility.
The statement said that when the weather did not improve, he decided to visit the National Martyrs Memorial via road, which would take more than two hours. The Prime Minister continued to travel by road after a confirmation of necessary security arrangements by the DGP Punjab Police.
When the Prime Minister's convoy reached a flyover, the road was blocked by some protestors, according to a close to 30 km away from the National Martyrs Memorial in Hussainiwala.
