Agronomists in Posavina are not satisfied with the corn crop because of the drought. According to their estimates, the drought reduced the crop by 50%.

This year really failed because of the drought and the corn is also small, according to Edvin Hod i Mehi a farmer from Od ak, told Federalna.
The farmers did everything in their power to make the harvest as good as possible, but they could not influence the weather conditions.
The crop was sown on time, everything was fine, but the summer heat took its toll, reducing it by 50 -- 60%, but what I have for our needs, said Pavo Ilak, a farmer from Gornja Dubica.
The government of Posavina Canton has declared a state of natural disaster. Farmers are not optimistic when it comes to aid.
We would appreciate any help, now everything depends on the county, municipality, state, but considering the past years, there was little help. It is up to us to work, and now I don't know how we will do it, how long we will do it. Pavo Ilak, a farmer from Gornja Dubica, says it is hard.
Farmers still have to wait for help from the authorities, and believe that next year will bring more crops.
