Disneyland’s revenue may be affected by hurricane

Hurricane Ian has closed Walt Disney World ResortDisney World Resort for Wednesday and Thursday due to the storm's path through Florida. Some people are wondering how much money the company may lose in revenue as a result of that.

In fiscal 2022's first quarter, Disney's parks, experiences and products revenue was $7.234 billion. The market realist reports that it's worth is around $80.38 million per day over 90 days.

Economists have long watched Disney's theme parks as an informal barometer of consumer confidence. When budgets get tight, families cut back on trips to Disney World in Florida and Disneyland in California. Disney Parks, Experiences and Products reported quarterly revenue of $7.4 billion, up from $4.3 billion a year ago, and an operating profit of $2.2 billion, up from $356 million, according to the report.

The parks across the world were temporarily closed due to the coronaviruses epidemic.

In September 2020 a Deutsche Bank report stated that Disney's theme parks would likely see substantial improvement in FY 2022 and a return to full earnings based on pre-COVID numbers in FY 2023.
