Former Brexit chief negotiator Lord Frost blames UK over tax deal

Former Brexit Party MEP Ben Habib told GB News that Lord Frost, the former Chief Brexit negotiator, played a pivotal role in preventing the UK from reaching enough independence from the bloc, and he argued that he did not allow the country to realise its potential to cut taxes in the UK in a post-Brexit world.

He stated that Britain must continue in its fight to achieve more opportunities to deregulate from the EU because the process of leaving is not over and must not be considered binary. In the former Brexit chief negotiator's resignation letter, Lord Frost stressed that the Government had not delivered a policy programme of smaller state, lower regulation, lower taxation, but he turned the crosshairs back onto Lord Frost hammering, which he said is to blame for the issue of preventing Britain from enjoying lower regulation and taxation outside of the EU. He said: Lord Frost himself tied us into a trade and cooperation agreement requiring us to align ourselves with EU state aid laws, competition laws, environmental laws, employment laws and JUST IN Brexit LIVE: BBC's Faisal Islam pinpoints'really big mystery' in the new UK-EU relationship.

The ability for the UK to deregulate, have a small state to cut taxes is hampered by the deal that Lord Frost and Boris Johnson claimed delivered. He noted that Britain is committed to many EU regulations as it was before because of Lord Frost's deal. Mr Habib suggested that more work needs to be done to rid of the shackles of various regulations as negotiated by Lord Frost, instead of being fully achieved by the fact thatBrexit has not been fully achieved. He said that despite the Brexit deal, Britain is still stuck in a lunar orbit around the EU. READ MORE Brexit WIN! Project Fear 'evaporated' as Remainers mocked for being left in 'wilderness'
