SYDNEY: Australian capital Canberra was evacuated on Sunday after a gunman opened fire, media reports said.
The Australian Federal Police said it was called to the airport at around 1.30 pm local time after reports of gunshots.
They said a person was taken into custody and a gun recovered after a person was taken into custody.
The person in custody is believed to be the only person responsible for the incident, and CCTV has been reviewed and is believed to be the only person responsible for the incident. There have been no reported injuries.
The federal police said that the terminal has been evacuated as a precaution and the situation at the airport is contained.
