Honeywell to require employees to be vaccinated against COVID - 19

Reuters - Honeywell International Inc said on Wednesday that it would require employees to be vaccinated against COVID - 19 in all its U.S. offices and some manufacturing locations under an executive order from President Joe Biden for federal contractors.

Other government contractors including Boeing Co, Raytheon Technologies Corp and International Business Machines Corp have also mandated vaccines, with the White House ruling last month that Dec. 8 would be the vaccine deadline for millions of federal employees.

The U.S. government contract mandate applies to all Honeywell locations throughout the U.S. and its territories that support the vaccination mandate. This includes all U.S. offices, the conglomerate said.

However, manufacturing sites not supporting government contracts are excluded from the mandate, Honeywell said. The company has 41,000 employees in the United States.

Separately, Lockheed Martin Corp updated the COVID - 19 guidance on its website to say it would follow federal, state and local mandates, including those that require vaccinations. The previous versions of the guidance did not specifically address vaccination requirements.
