Infraer to launch in India this month

After nearly two whole years since the COVID 19 pandemic started, the Indian automobile industry has started gaining traction with many new launches and revamps in the last couple of months. December is likely to see a few more launches, as a handful of two-wheeler makers will announce new vehicles this month, as it is the driest month in the domestic auto industry.

Here is the list of upcoming motorcycles and bikes in December 2021:

Bounce will be announcing its Infinity electric scooter in India tomorrow, December 2nd. The prices for the new battery-powered scooter will start on Thursday, at a token amount of 499.

The option of Battery as a service will allow users to purchase the scooter without a battery, allowing Bounce to retail the scooter at a much lower price.

The scooter is likely to be priced at Rs 92,000, while it will be sold for around 75,000 under the Battery option. The company hasn't given a timeline for the scooter deliveries, but expect to begin within the next few weeks after the launch.

The KTM RC series received price revisions, with the RC 390 receiving a large premium compared to its rival TVS Apache RR 310. KTM RC 390, which the company has revealed is going to launch in India in a few months, looks identical to the other RC-series motorcycles.

This new motorcycle has had a complete makeover in terms of design and it even weighs almost 7 kg less than its predecessor, compared to the old KTM RC 390. The KTM RC 390 will have the same engine as its predecessor, though with some minor tweaks.

The KTM RC 390 is powered by a single-cylinder BS 6 compliant 373.2 cc, which develops 43.5 PS of maximum power and 37 Nm of peak torque. The motor is paired to a 6 speed manual gearbox. The KTM RC 390 is expected to be priced under 3 lakh, ex-showroom Delhi.

After launching the Pan America 1250 in India, the company plans to launch the Harley-Davidson Sportster S at the Indian Bike Week event on December 4.

Harley-Davidson Sportster S will use the new Revolution Max 1250 powertrain, which produces 121 bhp and 127 Nm of peak torque. This sportster is paired with a six-speed gearbox with a slip and assist clutch.

The bike will get a 4 - inch round TFT screen that displays all instrumentation and supports Bluetooth-enabled infotainment. The bike's All-LED lighting includes a Daymaker Signature LED headlamp, a similar front headlight from the Harley-Davidson Fat Bob. The Kawasaki W 175 s international-spec comes with a carbureted 177 cc air-cooled motor that develops 13 PS at 7,500 rpm and 13.2 Nm at 6,000 rpm. The India-spec model will feature a fuel injection system, which should improve the throttle response.

The bike is expected to sport a single-channel ABS linked to the 220 mm disc upfront, along with a drum brake at the rear. The Kawasaki W 175 has Tubeless Tyre and Spoke Wheels.

It is no secret that Classic Legends Pvt Ltd, the company that owns Jawa Motorcycle, is all set to revive the Yezdi Roadking bikes, based on a motorcycle produced by Ideal Jawa from 1978 to 1996 in India.

The Yezdi Roadking Scrambler is expected to come with the standard Jawa s 293 cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. The Yezdi ADV might get the Jawa Perak's bigger 334 cc heart.

In the standard Jawa, the motor produces 27.33 PS and 27.02 Nm, while in the Jawa Perak it produces 30.64 PS and 32.74 Nm. The bike is likely to have a circular LED taillight, a new headlight cowl, a beak-like front fender and twin exhausts like the Jawas, but the shorter Classic Legends are expected to be priced around Rs 1.9 lakh - 2 lakh ex-showroom The Yezdi ADV is expected to be priced at around the Honda CB 350 RS, as well as the Royal Enfield Himalayan and the Husqvarna Svartpilen 250.
