The Kenya's healthcare system attracts investors from Australia as demand for medical services rises due to the Covid - 19 pandemic.
The Australian High Commissioner to Kenya, Luke Williams, said the two countries were in talks to collaborate in several areas including skills development for medical personnel, universal healthcare, including affordable healthcare insurance, and research.
Australian firms in the healthcare business were interested in offering their products and services through partner institutions such as the Nairobi Hospital, said Mr Williams who spoke during a recent visit to the Nairobi Hospital where they discussed possible areas of collaboration in the delivery of healthcare services.
This comes at a time when the hospital is upgrading its bed capacity as well as expanding its intensive care unit and high dependency unit for Covid - 19 patients management.
Our primary focus is to provide quality and affordable healthcare services to enhance the medical experience of all our patients. Further, the Nairobi Hospital is enhancing its brand through constructive relations with its partners like yourselves, stakeholders, media and the general public, said Chief Executive James Nyamongo.
