Lithuania's inflation rate rises to 13.2% in July 2022

In July 2022, according to the harmonised index of consumer prices HICP, the average annual inflation was 13.2%, the average annual inflation was 13.4%, according to Statistics Lithuania.

The CPI-based annual inflation was one 21.6%, while the annual inflation was 20.9% in July 2022, against July 2021.

The annual inflation calculated by the HICP was mainly influenced by an increase in prices for fuels and lubricants, heat energy, milk and milk products, cheese and eggs, electricity, meat and meat products, bread and cereals, solid fuel, vegetables, products and materials for maintenance and repair of the dwelling, as well as a decrease in prices for information processing equipment.

The change in consumer goods and services prices in July 2022, compared to June, was 0.8%, that was based on the CPI at 1.2%.
