Manipur CM, Deputy Chief Minister release Manipur election manifesto

Imphal Manipur India January 24 ANI Meghalaya Chief Minister and National People's Party President, Conrad Sangma along with Deputy Chief Minister Yumnam Joykumar Singh of Manipur and State President L Jayantakumar Singh have released the manifesto Action Document 2022 for the upcoming Manipur Assembly elections.

Manipur is one of five states slated to go to the polls next month.

Dy and Dy released the manifesto for the Manipur elections 2022. CM Manipur, Sh. Sh. Joykumar Singh, State Working President. Jayantakumar Singh and Arunachal State President, Sh. Mutchu Mithi, tweeted Sangma.

On Sunday, Chief Minister N Biren Singh claimed that the Bharatiya Janata Party would form the government in Manipur with more than a two-third majority and that the central leadership of the BJP will take the call on the party's face for the state assembly elections.

Biren Singh, who spoke to ANI, said that the BJP will contest all 60 Assembly seats.

The central leadership is responsible for ticket finalisation. All 60 seats will be contested by the BJP. Biren Singh stated that we are working hard for the two-thirds majority.

The election in Manipur will be held in two phases on February 27 and March 3 and the votes will be counted on March 10.

The Manipur Legislative Assembly's 60 members is expected to end its term on March 19, 2022.
