Matthew Guy suffers setback in communications process

The Victorian Opposition Leader Matthew Guy has had a staffing setback less than four months after the state election, with the resignation of his director of communications.

The Liberal Party said Lee Anderson left the media manager because of personal reasons. Anderson's resignation came just two days after the appointment of the new chief of staff, Nick McGowan.

Mr Guy has lost two of his most senior staff members just months after he left the November election.

Alex Woff, a current member of the Liberal party's communications team, will be replaced by Anderson.

Anja Wolff will take over the role of deputy director of communications.

Mitch Catlin left his role as the Opposition Leader's chief of staff last week after he asked a Liberal Party donor to make payments totalling more than $100,000 for his private marketing business.
