One of the country's richest individuals, Indian billionaire Mukesh Ambani, has initiated a long-anticipated leadership transition at the energy-to- retail conglomerate Reliance by handing over the chairmanship of its telecoms unit to his son.

Akash, the elder son of Ambani, joined the leadership team at the group's telecom unit, Reliance Jio, in 2014, soon after completing his graduation in economics from Brown University.

She is working on conceptualizing a new Reliance mall, including how the company pitches the highly sensitive placement of rival luxury brands next to each other, according to Reuters.
