Most Most moves to declare Zeljko Komsic undesirable in Croatia

The right-wing clerical-populist party Most initiated a procedure with the aim of the Croatian Parliament obliging the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs and Bosnia and Herzegovina BiH politician Zeljko Komsic persona non grata in the Republic of Croatia.

When asked by a journalist whether the HDZ would support Most's initiative, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Gordan Grlic Radman HDZ said that Most bargains with terms he has no idea about and that they are mostly shouting and yelling in the Parliament or sleeping. He criticized Most for not using their presence in the Parliament to help the Croats in BiH through parliamentary diplomacy, internationalization of the issue, and the like.

He said that Komsic is already persona nongrata in a way because neither Prime Minister Plenkovic nor the Minister of Foreign Affairs met with him. He has been that for all those years. Grlic Radman said that he was elected, but he is not a legitimate representative of the Croatian people.

Most of the initiative on Komsic was signed by the president of the party and the president of the Most parliamentary caucus, Bozo Petrov.

In accordance with Article 10 of the Constitution of the Republic of Croatia, this conclusion obliges the Government of Croatia to declare Zeljko Komsic undesirable in the Republic of Croatia because of the systematic usurpation of the rights of Croats in BiH, with the vote of another nation in BiH. The Republic of Croatia is reminded that the Republic of Croatia is one of the guarantors of the Dayton Peace Agreement and therefore has an additional obligation to take care of the rights of Croats in BiH, which are guaranteed by the same Agreement, as stated in the text that is sent to the Parliament for adoption.

After the general elections in BiH in 2018, Komsic was declared an undesirable person in several municipalities in Herzegovina and central Bosnia in BiH, where HDZ BiH is in power, Radio Slobodna Evropa.
