New features on Yelp to protect customers from reviews

- Review site Yelp Inc added new features on Thursday that businesses can ask for proof of vaccination when customers visit, a measure it took as the Delta variant of the coronavirus rapidly spreads in the United States.

Users will be able to filter businesses by two new attributes : proof of vaccination required and full police vaccinated when searching for local businesses and restaurants.

The businesses that activate these attributes on their Yelp profile will add protective measures to protect them from reviews that criticize the enforcement of COVID 19 health and safety measures.

The more than 15 percent of the local economy is active in Delta, with fast-spreading and highly contaminated Delta variants led to several retailers repealing their mask mandates and companies expanding their work-from-home policies just months after they lifted previous restrictions.

As guidelines evolved, Yelp said that businesses could also activate masks required and employees wear mask attributes on their pages.
