Since this morning, a large police operation has been carried out in Tuzla Canton and more than 15 kilograms of drugs have been seized.
Eleven people were arrested, while five were placed under police surveillance, it was confirmed for Klix.ba.
Police officers of the State Investigation and Protection Agency SIPA, part of the Blue 1 operation, are conducting searches of residential buildings and movable property at 14 locations in the area of Tuzla, Lukavac, Gra anica and Banovi.
The aforementioned activities are conducted according to the orders of the Cantonal Court in Tuzla and under the direction of the TK Prosecutor's Office, in cooperation with the Intelligence and Security Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina OSA BiH and the Police Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as stated by the Police Administration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the aim of the action is to find and document criminal offenses in the field of abuse of narcotics.
During the previous searches, temporarily confiscated materials that could be found were also found that could be linked to the commission of the criminal offense of unauthorized production and placing on the market of narcotic drugs. The searches are still ongoing, so far around 15 kilograms of powdery substances have been found, which are associated with drugs by its appearance. A large amount of plant matter was found, which by its appearance is associated with narcotic drugs, as well as a certain amount of weapons, money and other items that can be used as evidence in later proceedings, said the spokeswoman of the MUP Police Administration and TK Amra Kapid i So far 11 people have been arrested, while another five are under the control of the police. Kapid i stated that this is an organized criminal group and that most of them are already known to the police for committing criminal acts.
