
January 4, Imphal Manipur India ANI Prime Minister Narendra Modi tried his hand at playing traditional musical instruments during his visit to Manipur's capital city Imphal.
The Prime Minister was welcomed by the folk artists on his arrival in Imphal. He walked towards the artist who was playing the gong and tried playing the instrument. He also played the drum.
PM Modi has inaugurated 13 projects worth around Rs 1,850 crores and laid the foundation stone of nine projects worth around 2,950 crores, according to the foundation stone laid by PM Modi earlier in the day.
He said that the Northeastern states will become major drivers of India's growth in the upcoming years, with Manipur being the main source of the country's growth trajectory.
There was a time when Manipur was left to be on its own. I came to Manipur several times before I became the PM. I knew the pain in your hearts. Prime Minister Modi addressed the public today that after 2014, I brought the whole Government of India to your doorstep.
The projects inaugurated by PM Modi spanned sectors such as Road Infrastructure, Drinking Water Supply, Health, Urban Development, IT and more.
