The Reserve Bank confirmed re-appointment of Axis Bank for a period of three years on Thursday as managing director of the private sector. The extended three-year term would effective on January 1, 2022, Axis Bank said in a regulatory filing. The Reserve Bank of India has approved the re-appointment of the Managing Director for the bank in its letter dated October 14, 2021 with effect from January 1st, 2022 to December 31st, 2024, it said. In April the board of the bank had approved the extension of his tenure for another three years subject to regulatory clearance.
