Royal Bank of Canada reshuffles Chief Financial Officer

The Royal Bank of Canada is appointing Nadine Ahn as the Chief Financial Officer, part of a shakeup of the bank's senior ranks.

Ahn, currently Head of Investor Relations, will take over the role from today on the 1 Nov., the Toronto-based company said in a statement released Friday. She replaces Rod Bolger, who has been in the role since December 2016 and is leaving after a decade at the bank.

RBC also said it appointed General Counsel Maria Douvas as its chief legal officer. New RBC Ventures head Neil McLaughlin, who will now lead commercial banking, will also run personal banking operations.

RBC is pushing to expand its South-West U.S. business and has started focusing on winning over middle-market companies to help expand its business south of the border through its City National U.S. private and commercial bank.
