Singapore Food Agency orders recall of 2 more Haagen-Dazs ice cream products

SINGAPORE: The Singapore Food Agency SFA on Friday ordered a recall of two more Haagen-Dazs ice cream products due to the presence of ethylene oxide, a pesticide that is not authorised for use in food.

This comes after the recall of two other Haagen-Dazs ice cream products last month.

The included products are Haagen-Dazs' Cookies and Cream 473 ml pints with an expiry date of May 27, 2023 and Belgian Chocolate 100 ml mini cups with an expiry date of Jun 8, 2023.

Long term exposure may lead to health issues, according to SFA in a media release.

Following the voluntary recall of Haagen-Dazs Vanilla Ice Cream last month, the brand owners, General Mills, have taken a precautionary additional step of extending the recall to two other products, according to the agency.
