South Korea supports nuclear-weapon pledge at P 5 Summit

Seoul South Korea January 5, ANI Global Economic The South Korean government announced on 4th that it supports the pledge signed by five nuclear-weapon states at the P 5 Summit to avoid nuclear war and arms competition.

It will make efforts to contribute to global denuclearization.

The Foreign Ministry said that the Korean government is expecting to contribute to global denuclearization based on the treaty on the non-proliferation of nuclear weapons NPT and international peace and stability. The spokesman said that Korea is welcoming that five nuclear-weapon states summits agreed that there is no winner for the nuclear war, and it should never happen. It is also hoped that the nuclear-weapon states will actively participate in bilateral and multilateral meetings to implement practical nuclear disarmament and prevent military competition. In addition to that, the government has been actively involved in Stockholm.

The Initiative to Creating an Environment for Nuclear Disarmament and the Initiative Creating an Environment for Nuclear Disarmament CEND was created to discuss nuclear disarmament. It said that we will continue to contribute to the implementation of the NPT. The Chinese Foreign Ministry, the US-China, Russia, France, and the United Kingdom P 5 have issued a joint statement on preventing nuclear war.
