United Airlines moving flights to Afghanistan as insurgents take control

West 11 November - United Airlines said late Sunday it was moving some flights to evacuate Kabul airspace as insurgents took control of the presidential palace in Afghanistan as U.S. led forces lost and western nations scrambled to evacuate their citizens.

Due to the dynamic nature of the situation we have begun routing affected flights around Afghanistan airspace, a United spokeswoman said in a statement.

The changes affect several United Airlines' business from America to India flights. New Flight Restrictions Over Afghanistan : The U.S. Federal Aviation AdministrationU.S. Federal Aviation Administration in July had issued new flight restrictions for U.S. airlines and other U.S. operators over Afghanistan.
