Uphold introduces free Bitcoin trading

On Thursday, the platform Uphold announced the introduction of free Bitcoin BTCUSD trading for its customers, a move that aims to onboard as many people as possible into the digital asset platform.

Uphold customers will be able to buy and sell Bitcoins using national currencies such as the U.S. dollar and euro until further notice.

Simon McLoughlin, Uphold CEO Simon McLoughlin said there was now no better place for people to buy and sell Bitcoins.

The price ofBitcoin can still vary between trading venues because of the fact that the markets are more inefficient than those for traditional assets, such as equities. Uphold s smart-routing technology is able to capitalize on these opportunities for customers. It was an obvious decision to remove trading fees forBitcoin on our service because of the goal of onboarding as many people as possible, according to McLoughlin.

The company stated that this move follows the strong-growth Uphold achieved after the introduction of an industry-first offer of 0% commissions on all criptocurrencies staking through to Jan. 5, 2023.
