White House to lift travel restrictions for fully vaccinated foreign nationals

The White House will announce on Friday that it would lift travel restrictions for fully vaccinated foreign nationals effective Nov. 8 at land borders and for air travel, a White House official said.

The White House announced Tuesday that it would lift restrictions at its land borders and ferry crossings with Canada and Mexico for fully vaccinated foreign nationals in early November. They are identical but not identical to the requirements announced last month for international air travellers.

Unvaccinated visitors will still be barred from entering United States from Canada or Mexico at the border.

The White House announced on 20 Sept. that the United States would from 33 countries including China, India, Brazil and most of Europe in early November. The precise date did not disclose the time of this policy document.

Also, it said that it would apply vaccine requirements to foreign nationals travelling from all other countries.
