PTI Supports PkMAP in Balochistan By-Elections, ECP Prepares for By-Elections Across Pakistan

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has made a significant decision to throw its support behind the Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP) in the upcoming by-elections in Balochistan. PTI Deputy Secretary General Khadim Hussain revealed that PTI will be endorsing PkMAP candidates in PB-50 and PB-51, as directed by PTI founder Imran Khan and the party's leadership in the province, with plans to actively campaign for the PkMAP candidates. This move signifies a strategic political alliance between PTI and PkMAP in the pursuit of electoral success in Balochistan.

In order to facilitate the upcoming by-elections on April 21, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has distributed 6.23 million ballot papers to the relevant returning officers for the 21 constituencies where elections will be held across Pakistan. The distribution of green-colored papers for the National Assembly seats and white-colored papers for the provincial assembly seats has been made to ensure a smooth voting process, emphasizing the democratic exercise of voting rights in the country. The high number of candidates, with 237 individuals competing for the vacant seats, signifies the keen interest and competitive nature of these by-elections in various regions of Pakistan.

The ECP's meticulous preparations include providing necessary election materials to provincial election commissioners, while district Returning Officers and Returning Officers are diligently following the election schedule. Amidst close coordination with the ministries of Interior and Defence, as well as provincial law enforcement agencies, the ECP is ensuring a secure and well-organized electoral process across the country. The upcoming by-elections are set to be a crucial political event with Aseefa Bhutto Zardari already securing a position unopposed in NA 207, reflecting the dynamic landscape of Pakistani politics ahead of this electoral exercise.
