## Airtel Payments Bank Launches New NCMC Debit and Prepaid Cards
Airtel Payments Bank has introduced new debit and prepaid cards in India, designed to offer customers greater convenience and environmental friendliness. These cards are powered by RuPay and are interoperable, meaning they can be used for a wider range of purposes than traditional debit/prepaid cards.
NCMC debit card: This card is linked to a savings account and allows for debit transactions like purchases and ATM withdrawals.
This card functions like a prepaid phone, where you load money onto it beforehand and then use it for transactions.
Both card types are made from eco-friendly e-PVC material, a more sustainable alternative to traditional card materials.
Offline NCMC transit transactions: You can simply tap your card to pay for fares on metros, buses, and parking without needing separate tickets. This saves time and avoids queues.
You won't need to manage multiple cards for different operators.
"Customers can use any of the cards to make safe, secure and contactless payments at all merchant establishments, online (e-commerce), as well as offline NCMC transit transactions at metros, buses, parking, etc across the country," Airtel Payments Bank stated.
Users can order the NCMC enabled Debit Card from the Airtel Thanks App, or acquire it by visiting the nearest banking points or designated points at metro stations. The NCMC enabled Prepaid Cards will soon be available on online and retail platforms.
