Delhi Health Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj to Meet Chief Minister Kejriwal in Tihar Jail

Delhi Health Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj is scheduled to visit Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in Tihar Jail, as Kejriwal remains in custody after his arrest by the Enforcement Directorate for alleged involvement in a money laundering case. The Aam Aadmi Party has made it clear that despite Kejriwal's detention, he will not be stepping down from his position as the Delhi chief minister and will maintain his duties remotely while in jail.

In a show of support and solidarity, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and AAP's national general secretary Sandeep Pathak have also visited Kejriwal in Tihar Jail earlier this month. Following the visit, Pathak informed the media that Kejriwal plans to meet with two ministers each week to evaluate the progress of work within their departments. Kejriwal has been reported to have been actively engaged even from jail, communicating with his ministers about key issues like water supply and medicine availability in government hospitals.

Despite his incarceration, Kejriwal has remained proactive in ensuring governance continues smoothly in Delhi, instructing party MLAs to provide assistance to residents in their constituencies and making sure essential services are not disrupted. The meetings between Kejriwal and his ministers in jail serve as a way to maintain leadership and supervision despite the physical constraints of Kejriwal's current situation.
