Congress Leader Priyanka Gandhi Addresses Election Campaign Rally in Bengaluru

Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra took a strong stance against the Narendra Modi government's handling of unemployment and inflation while addressing an election campaign rally in Bengaluru in support of the party's candidate for the Bengaluru South Lok Sabha seat, Sowmya Reddy. Gandhi criticized the government for having the highest unemployment rate in the country and pointed out that there are 30 lakh vacant posts in the Central government that have remained unfilled for the past decade.

During the campaign rally held at Udgir in Latur district, Gandhi also raised concerns about the imposition of GST on all agricultural equipment, promising to abolish it if Congress comes to power. She emphasized the impact of such policies on farmers and agricultural workers, highlighting the party's commitment to addressing these issues. Additionally, Gandhi expressed her worries about the state of democracy in the country, pointing out instances in Maharashtra where legislators were allegedly being bought, governments were being toppled, and parties were being split for political gains.

In the upcoming elections, the Congress has fielded eye surgeon Shivaji Kalge as its candidate in the Latur (SC) Lok Sabha constituency, challenging the BJP's sitting MP Sudhakar Shrangare. The campaign rally led by Priyanka Gandhi aimed to rally support for the Congress candidate and address key issues facing the country, emphasizing the party's vision for governance and democracy if they were to come to power.
