Bombae Advertisement Sparks Outrage for Trolling Class 10 Topper

Bombae, a sister brand of Bombay Shaving Company, has come under fire for its recent full-page advertisement featuring UP Boards Class 10 topper Prachi Nigam. The ad has been widely criticized for its insensitive and offensive portrayal of Nigam, specifically targeting her appearance and facial hair.

The advertisement has drawn widespread condemnation from various figures on social media, who have called for action against Bombay Shaving Company. Many have accused the brand of mocking women with facial hair and exploiting their insecurities for commercial gain.

One LinkedIn user commented on the ad, calling it "insensitive, in bad taste, and indicative of the company's opportunism and desperation." They urged regulatory bodies like the Advertising Standards Council of India (ASCI) to take action against the brand.

ASCI CEO Manisha Kapoor has acknowledged the issue and stated that the council will investigate the matter. "Moment marketing is usually a monumental disaster if not done well," Kapoor commented.

“We hope you never get bullied into using our razor."

Prachi Nigam had initially gained attention for scoring 98.5 percent in the Class 10 board exams. However, the Bombae advertisement has overshadowed her academic achievement, turning the spotlight onto the company's insensitive marketing tactics.
