BJP Hosts International Delegation as Part of 'KNOW BJP' Initiative

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) recently organized a meeting at their headquarters in New Delhi as part of their 'KNOW BJP initiative'. The meeting was chaired by BJP National President JP Nadda, along with External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw. The purpose of the meeting was to host representatives from eighteen political parties hailing from ten different countries.

During the meeting, EAM Jaishankar shared insights with the delegation about India's robust democratic processes and expressed confidence that their visit would contribute to better understanding the country's electoral system. The delegation, comprising representatives from countries like Australia, Vietnam, Bangladesh, Israel, Uganda, Tanzania, Russia, Sri Lanka, Mauritius, and Nepal, was briefed on the BJP's election campaign strategies and given an overview of the electoral process in India. This initiative aimed to provide the visiting political parties with first-hand experience and insights into the BJP's election campaign.

The political parties participating in the 'KNOW BJP initiative' included a diverse range of ideologies and backgrounds, such as Australia's Liberal Party, Vietnam's Communist Party of Vietnam, Bangladesh's Awami League, Israel's Likud Party, and many others. The delegation also included representatives from Sri Lanka, Mauritius, and Nepal. This initiative sought to foster international engagement and exchange of ideas, with a specific focus on experiencing the ongoing BJP election campaign for the upcoming Lok Sabha Election in 2024.
