India's Stance on Palestine's UN Membership Bid and the Ongoing Conflict

India has expressed its hope that Palestine's bid for full membership in the United Nations will be reconsidered after being blocked by the US last month. India has long supported Palestine's aspirations for UN membership and believes it will ultimately be endorsed.

India's Permanent Representative to the UN, Ambassador Ruchira Kamboj, reiterated India's commitment to a two-state solution achieved through direct negotiations between Israel and Palestine. She emphasized the need for all parties to create conditions conducive to resuming peace talks.

Kamboj also addressed the ongoing conflict in Gaza, expressing concern over the humanitarian crisis and civilian casualties. She condemned the terror attacks in Israel and called for the immediate release of all hostages.

India has provided humanitarian aid to the people of Palestine and stressed the need for increased aid to alleviate the suffering in Gaza.
